The Oblates of the Virgin Mary are serious about seeking holiness. Centered on the Eucharist, devoted to Mary and faithful to the Magisterium, the Oblates serve the Church as experts in authentic spirituality and heralds of the mercy of God. Oblate ministries include a broad spectrum of apostolic efforts, including retreats, spiritual direction, priestly formation, missionary work, lay groups, parishes, and evangelization through the media. We need men to join us in the crucial work of spiritual fatherhood today. We need men of courageous heart to serve the Church and bring hope through friendship with Jesus Christ.
All of the priests of our parish are happy to talk about vocations and discerning God's will, so feel free to speak to any of the priests who you may feel comfortable with.
Fr. Jay-Ar San Juan is the parish Vocations Captain, who assists Fr. Paul Kallal, the OMV Vocation Director in Boston, MA, in helping men to discern a possible vocation to the priesthood and/or religious life as an Oblate of the Virgin Mary. Fr. Jay-Ar was ordained a priest on July 22, 2023, by the Most Reverend Robert P. Reed.
Fr. Jay-Ar is happy to meet and talk about any questions relating to vocations, discerning God's will, and seminary formation.
If you would like to speak to him, you may contact him via e-mail at [email protected].
Loving Father, as Jesus begged the harvest master to send laborers into his vineyard, so we now ask you to bless the Oblates of the Virgin Mary with numerous vocations.
May your Spirit draw men of integrity to love you intensely and serve you courageously in poverty, chastity, and obedience.
Reveal your mercy toward them and remove the distractions and fears that keep them from echoing Mary’s joyful “yes.”
Guide them in discerning the mission for which you created them, so that they will become wise yet gentle shepherds of souls.
We ask this through the intercession of Venerable Bruno Lanteri and in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.
