Churches in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles fully reopen July 19, 2021. In a letter to LA Catholics, Archbishop José H. Gomez lifted the dispensation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation (Dated June 19, 2021). The dispensation will still be granted to those who are ill or have underlying health concerns.
El 19 de junio del 2021 se levantó la dispensa de la obligación de asistir a misa el domingo y días de precepto en respuesta a la pandemia del Coronavirus para todos los fieles católicos de la Arquidiócesis de Los Angeles. Para las personas que tienen una razon seria y legítima (enfermedad, condiciones de salud que los pone en riesgo o que tienen miedo a enfermarse, etc.) tendrán la dispensa de la obligación de asistir a la misa de Domingo y dias de precepto. Otros, NO.
UPDATE: Keep your masks on inside the church and when visiting the parish offices. With the current increase of COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County, the Archdiocese has decided to follow the L.A. County Health Department in requiring everyone to wear a mask indoors at our L.A. County parishes, offices, and school effective Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 11:59 pm.
