Father Ed Broom, OMV, is Associate Pastor of St. Peter Chanel Church in Hawaiian Gardens, California. He is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary and was ordained by Blessed John Paul II on May 25, 1986.

SURE PATH TO HOLINESS!
All of us are called to holiness! A LA VIDA Y LA MUERTE
La nieve del invierno se derrite y las flores de primavera florecen y emanan su hermosa fragancia. Las agudas espinas desaparecen y la rosada rosa brota y adorna el prado. Una oruga fea pasa a través de la transformación de una bella planeadora, mariposa monarca. El oscuro cielo tormentoso se desvanece y aparece un impresionante arco iris. El carbón es negro, duro, sucio, siendo presurizado se transforma en un diamante precioso, de la mejor calidad. Todas estas son meras analogías naturales de los más grandes, de todos los eventos: la Resurrección de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo! Léelo en total

PADRE MISERCORDIOSO
Maestro de todos los contadores de historias, ninguno como Jesús Nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, nadie ha llegado o llegará a acercarse a la experiencia de Jesús al enseñar, pero sobretodo en el “arte” de contar historias. El nombre de las historias poderosamente eficaces es, las PARÁBOLAS. Una definición breve, pero eficaz de una parábola es, “Una historia terrenal, con un mensaje celestial.” (Pastor Adrián Rogers). El sembrador y la semilla, los Talentos, las Vírgenes sabias y tontas, el Buen Samaritano, la Oveja perdida, se encuentran entre estas obras literarias utilizadas por el “maestro”–Jesús, el maestro–para comunicar verdades eternas! Sin embargo, el clásico y sin duda la mejor de todas las parábolas de Jesús es, la “Parábola del Hijo Pródigo”, que también podría ser titulada, “La Parábola del Padre Misericordioso”–centrándose más, en la “Misericordia” del Padre por encima, de la “miseria” del hijo!
MARÍA – UN DIAMANTE PRECIOSO
Si expones un diamante al sol, entonces, podrás admirar la diversidad de colores que emanan del diamante, como un hermoso arco iris, después de un aguacero torrencial. La Santísima Virgen puede compararse con los rayos bellos del diamante y del sol. Los Santos tienen muchos puntos en común y uno de ellos es su gran amor y devoción a la Santísima Virgen María. Sin embargo, su “” Perspectiva Mariana” seria ligeramente diferente; en otras palabras, todos los Santos tienen un específico “carisma Mariano” que diferencia uno, del otro.
Por lo tanto, entremos en los corazones de algunos Santos para admirar la forma en que ellos fueron cautivados por la belleza de este “preciosísimo diamante de Dios”—el nombre de este diamante es la Santísima Virgen María.
