Holy Hour

The Pro-life holy hour began in 2003 as an initiative of Fr. Greg Staab, OMV. It is held every Wednesday at 8:00 pm with the Blessed Sacrament exposed.
The format is:
- Opening prayers – Prayer of Total Consecration to Mary and the Pro-Life Prayer of Intention
- Holy Rosary – with short scriptural readings and pro-life prayer intention after each mystery
- Chaplet of Divine Mercy
- Litany to Jesus in the Womb of Mary – a very beautiful, meaningful litany
- About 30 minutes of silent prayer
- Night prayer (Compline of the Liturgy of the Hours) for Wednesday
- Benediction and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament (depending on the priests’ availability, this is often delayed to about 9:30 pm)
We usually have 15-20 people attending. Some attendees also go to abortion clinics to pray for their closure and the conversion of the staff, and to encourage pro-life alternatives for those arriving at the clinic.
Pro-Life Sundays

On designated Sundays in January and October each year, parishioners volunteer to provide convenient access to legal petitions concerning pro-life issues as well as things like bumper stickers, balloons, and other means of raising awareness about the detriment of the culture of death and the sanctity of human life and marriage. Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact Mary Gomes at (714) 821-8894 or gome...@yahoo.com
